MEMBERS OF HINTS
CLASSIFIEDS
Members of HINTS may advertise used books or
other school-related materials in the classified
section for no charge. Limit 25 items
per issue, same items may be listed 2
times (2 issues). While we will not
prohibit the advertising of other items (houses,
Panther tickets, etc.), we ask you to use discretion,
as this is primarily a homeschool newsletter.
ADS
Classes & tutoring are considered advertisements
(see below), and HINTS members are not charged
for this advertising (this is one of your membership “perks”).
Any “boxed” ads (business card or
larger) will incur a charge. Sizes and prices
are listed below. Please make checks or money orders payable
to HINTS, and send to the editor’s address (see box to the right.)
Also note that you may run these
ads a total of 6 times per year (August—August),
in any combination of HINTS newsletter or CHEA
newsletter (i.e., you could run your ad in
CHEA 2 times and HINTS 4 times). Ads may be
emailed to be created by the editor, or created
and emailed to be imported into the document,
or camera-ready art may be sent to the editor
and will be scanned in. Editor reserves the
right to edit for clarity or fit.
PLEASE: if you submit an ad to
CHEA, DO NOT submit it to HINTS the
same month — everyone in HINTS receives
the CHEA, and we will not duplicate ads on
the months that CHEA comes out.

Opportunities” section, again for no charge
to HINTS members. These ads will not be “boxed.” Limit

pertinent information, but be brief. Please also
note that you are a HINTS member on
your correspondence to the editor.
SEMINARS
Seminars related to education will be included
in this section under “Other Opportunities.” Please
indicate your name and that you are a HINTS member on
all correspondence. No charge.
ACTIVITIES & EVENTS
Educational activities and events of interest
to homeschoolers will be included in this
section under “Other Opportunities.” Please
indicate your name and that you are a HINTS
member on all correspondence. No charge.
CHEA MEMBERS
CHEA members (members of other homeschool support
groups) may advertise under the same guidelines
as members. Please include NAME OF SUPPORT
GROUP you are a member of on all correspondence.
NON-MEMBERS
CLASSES & TUTORING
CHEA non-members will be charged $10/issue for
ads that are not “boxed.” This is the
most economical advertising for piano teachers,
art instructors, etc. Please make checks payable
to HINTS, and send to the editor’s address. Limit
6 times per year. “Paid advertisement” will
appear at the bottom of the ad.
ADS
These are the “boxed” ads, business
card and larger. Sizes and prices for non-members
are listed below. “Paid advertisement” will
appear at the bottom of the ad. Please make checks
payable to HINTS, and send to the editor’s
address. If payment is not received by
the 20th of the month, the ad will be pulled from
that issue. Limit 6 times per year,
any combination of HINTS & CHEA, as described
under HINTS members.

SPONSORING A NON-MEMBER
AD
If a CHEA member (members of other
homeschool support groups) wishes to sponsor an
announcement or ad by a nonmember, please follow
the guidelines for “Members.” You MUST
INCLUDE YOUR NAME AND SUPPORT GROUP if you
sponsor someone, as this will appear on the ad.
